Griffins No Match for Perkins, Admirals in 9-0 Thumping
|
Tom Perkins kept the Washington Griffins hitters off balance all game long as the Maryland Admirals pitcher blanked the Griffins, 9-0.
Perkins gave up 4 hits, struck out 11 and walked 1. In the postgame press conference, the left-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length.
"It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."
This season Perkins has a 13-6 record with a 2.61 ERA.
