The New Jersey Bears had to overcome a fine effort from Florida pitcher Poto Camossi to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Bear Den at Waterfront Park. Camossi went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. New Jersey reliever Roberto Pérez Jr. picked up the win, upping his record to 12-2. Bill Scott shouldered the loss. New Jersey goes to 61-77, Florida to 75-63.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with New Jersey trailing 4-3, Armando Valdéz hit a sinker from Bill Scott for a 2-run home run, giving the Bears the walk-off win.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Valdéz.
