Chávez Excels, But Wolves Win
The Minnesota Wolves had to overcome a big game from Michigan catcher Juan Chávez to leave New Michigan Field with a victory. And they did, winning 4-3. Chávez hit 2 home runs. Alarico Lieftinck picked up the save, his 1st. With the win, the Wolves have a record of 87-51.

José Gallegos, who finished 2nd in the GEL in triples with 9 in 2094, aided the Minnesota cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Gallegos told the Minnesota Observer.
