Castro Silences Idaho Bats
The Utah Scorpions picked up a win at Spuds Park, knocking off the Idaho Spuds, 3-0. Starting pitcher Juan Castro played a key role in the triumph. Francisco Guzmán was credited with the save, his 41st in 46 tries. With the victory, the Scorpions upped their record to 79-71.

Castro earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Utah. The native of Guasdualito, Venezuela, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Idaho hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"It was a good effort all around," said Castro.
