The home crowd had a good time watching the Virginia Grays and Massachusetts Patriots get after it.

The Massachusetts Patriots knocked off the Virginia Grays, 8-2, at Glory Field. Tony Rodríguez was a big reason Massachusetts won. The catcher hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jack Ross, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities.

Roberto Díaz, who is tied for 8th in the FFL in runs scored with 64, aided the Massachusetts cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Virginia CPU GM.

The victory gives Massachusetts a record of 83-73.
