Penn Delivers Walk-Off Win for Admirals
|
Pennsylvania got a terrific performance from pitcher Thomas Seymour, but it wasn't enough to beat the Maryland Admirals. Maryland won the Admirals Yard contest, 3-2. Seymour threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Maryland reliever Bill Lee was the winner. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Sherwood Howard. The Founding Fathers League Northeast-leading Admirals have a record of 92-67.
Chad Penn was the walk-off hero for Maryland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Admirals first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The ending was a real humdinger," Penn told reporters after the game.
