Admirals Come Up Short at Pennsylvania, 3-2
|
The Pennsylvania Freedom topped the Maryland Admirals, 3-2, in Founding Fathers League action at Historic Ironside Field. The standout performance belonged to Pennsylvania pitcher and Attleboro, Massachusetts, native Dan Morales. Sherwood Howard converted his 17th save in 18 tries. With the win over Maryland, the Freedom improved to 32-25.
Joe Krause, who is tied for 6th in the FFL in bases on balls with 22, chipped in for Pennsylvania with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We put together a nice win," Morales said.
