Schmidt Baffles Oceanside Batters
Brian Schmidt had the Oceanside Pelicans dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 3-0 shutout performance for the Lafayette Crawdads. He gave up 4 hits, issued no walks and had 5 strikeouts.

Oceanside hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery.

"When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point," opposing manager said. "We just never figured him out."
