Lumberjacks Rally For 2-0 Win
|
Right-hander Denny McSwan mesmerized the California Lions while leading the Wisconsin Lumberjacks to a 2-0 victory. Roger Anderson notched his 16th save in 16 chances. The 4th-place Lumberjacks have a record of 29-31.
Wisconsin used the timely hitting of Joey Reeves to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lumberjacks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Wisconsin manager said.
