Lumberjacks Turn Away Wolves, 1-0
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Wisconsin Lumberjacks and Minnesota Wolves.
The Wisconsin Lumberjacks eked out a 1-0 win versus the Minnesota Wolves at Buzzy Stevens Park. Nobody did more than pitcher James Rasmussen. He was terrific. Rasmussen, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Roger Anderson locked down his 3rd save.
Chris Camp, the three-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Camp contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Wisconsin up, 1-0.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Minnesota manager Aleksi Sopanen.
At 5-3, the Lumberjacks have played well so far.
