Scorpions Get One-Run Win at Idaho
The Utah Scorpions picked up a win at Spuds Park, knocking off the Idaho Spuds, 5-4. Starting pitcher Chris Cable played a key role in the triumph. Getting the save was Francisco Guzmán, his 21st. Utah is now 50-36, 5½ games up in the Great Explorers League Pacific.

Utah relied on the hitting of Bob Washington to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 5-1. For the game, Washington had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Washington.
