Despite a great performance by Wisconsin third baseman Bráulio Ozores, the Minnesota Wolves defeated the Lumberjacks by the score of 5-4 at Northern Lights Park. Ozores was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Vincente Montoya notched his 30th save in 32 chances. Minnesota is now 60-35. Wisconsin is 47-48.
Duane Drake, who finished 3rd in the GEL in batting average with .285 last year, aided the Minnesota cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk in 2 plate appearances.
"It was a solid team effort," said Drake after the game.
