Injury Setback for Storm Matthews Saturday, November 14th , 2093 Henry Matthews is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for back spasms. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Storm sent the 39-year-old reliever back to the doctors for reexamination. Matthews told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Matthews will now miss a minimum of 3 weeks. In his career Matthews has compiled a 230-144 mark in 548 games with 2726 strikeouts and 827 walks in 3542.2 innings. He has been credited with no saves and has a 2.84 ERA. |
