Ultreras Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Friday, August 15th , 2098 Alabama Iron first baseman Juan Ultreras put on a dazzling display of power today at Bo Jackson Ballpark against the Tennessee Hounds. In the 6-3 Iron victory Ultreras penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Tennessee manager Steven Luker said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Ultreras said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
