September's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Bacon Wednesday, October 1st , 2098 Brian Bacon is the latest Great Explorers League Pitcher of the Month award winner. The Utah starter stood out on the hill time and again last month and finished September with a sparkling 3-0 record. In 5 starts last month, he fanned 46, walked 7 in 35 innings and posted a 1.03 ERA. Bacon held opposing teams to a .148 batting average when he was on the mound. Bacon has made 30 starts so far this year and put up a 15-5 won-lost record with a 2.24 ERA. In 209 innings he has allowed 163 hits, walked 50 and struck out 193. |
