Minnesota Loses Nick Martínez, Will Miss Season Thursday, October 2nd , 2098 Nick Martínez is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Minnesota organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 6 weeks with an oblique strain. The 26-year-old third baseman suffered the injury running the bases in a recent game against the Colorado Rams.
