Reyes Rewarded with 2098 SL Outstanding Hitter Award Friday, October 10th , 2098 Edmund Reyes of the Provo Salt Dogs had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2098. The 27-year-old center fielder put up a .262 average and a .353 on-base percentage, piling up 130 hits, 29 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs, 62 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. Roberto Ortíz of the San Jose Millionaires finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while John Conley of the Chattanooga Lookouts finished third.
