Maddox Beguiles Val D'Or Sunday, July 28th , 2097 Matt Maddox kept the Val D'Or Miners hitters from doing any damage at Miners Field today. Val D'Or could only muster 8 hits and take no walks against the right-handed Maddox, who controlled them throughout the game as South Brunswick took the contest, 7-0. Maddox added 2 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Maddox told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." In 22 starts this year Maddox has posted 2 wins while suffering 13 losses.
