Escobar Tosses 1-0 Shutout Thursday, August 29th , 2097 José Escobar of the Oceanside Pelicans was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 1-0, against the Carson City Horntails. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Oceanside manager . "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said.
