Injury Sidelines Mike Abrams for Season
Friday, July 25th , 2098
When Mike Abrams was hurt against the Saint Cloud Thunderbolts, the Marquette Wildcats were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 22-year-old reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Abrams would miss 9 months of the season.
This season Abrams has nailed down no saves with 36 strikeouts in 64 innings. He is credited with 4 wins and 2 losses and has a 1.83 earned run average.
