Idaho Spuds starter Tony Martínez pitched a strong game against the Nevada Jacks at Venetian Field, leading the Spuds to victory, 4-2. Donald Brown earned the save for Idaho, his 24th of the year. The Spuds win now puts them at 61-63.

The Spuds got a big at-bat from right fielder Ignacio Soto. For the game, Soto went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Idaho a 2-0 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Martínez said.
