In a tight tilt between the Georgia Generals and the Louisiana Blaze, Tommy Bane was the deciding factor. The Georgia right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Juan León finished the game for Georgia and earned his 18th save. The second-place Blaze now sit at 75-61.

Dave Brown, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2097 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Brown contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Georgia up, 1-0.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Bane.
