Hounds Lose at Home, 4-3
|
Led by Seth Hinton, the Idaho Spuds downed the Tennessee Hounds, 4-3. Hinton went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs for the Spuds. Pablo Bonilla, now 6-6, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Idaho, at 75-78, sits in third place in the Great Explorers League Pacific.
Hinton had no bigger at-bat than in the top of the seventh when the fan favorite hit a double. The double gave Idaho the lead, 3-2. It was his 16th double of the season.
Idaho manager Jason Dettbarn praised his team's "businesslike approach."
