Pennsylvania third baseman Javier Reynoso had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Louisiana Blaze, 6-3. Pennsylvania reliever José Gonzáles was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Rod Rockingham. Alberto Mercado got credit for the save for Pennsylvania. It was his 8th of the year.

Reynoso had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Rod Rockingham, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Freedom a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Reynoso.

"I believe in our guys," said Pennsylvania skipper Rob Chapman. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The Blaze fall to 9-14 and continue their lackluster start in 2104.
