Howard Now 10-14 After Subduing Iron
|
Georgia Generals starter Woody Howard was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Alabama Iron, 2-1. Juan Delgado notched his 39th save in 42 chances. The win puts Georgia at 85-75 this season.
Howard, a native of Jackson, Tennessee, was dealing all game. He kept Alabama hitters off-balance, while giving the Generals 8 quality innings. Howard threw 113 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.
In postgame comments to the Georgia Daily News, Howard said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
