Hounds Rebuff Lumberjacks, 3-2

The Wisconsin Lumberjacks inaugurated their 2104 season with a tough 3-2 loss to the Tennessee Hounds at Northern Lights Park. Right Fielder Michael Baker had perhaps the best performance for Tennessee. The winning pitcher was Manuel Elías. His record now stands at 1-0. The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits for the Hounds.
Tennessee grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Baker hit a run-scoring double off James Rasmussen. His 1st double of the season put the Hounds out in front, 2-1.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Tennessee manager Steven Luker said.
