The Illinois Jethawks topped the Massachusetts Patriots, 4-3, in Great Explorers League action at Jethawk Sportpark. The standout performance belonged to Illinois pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Augusto Ramos. Juan Rodríguez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The Jethawks bumped their record to 43-32 with this latest triumph.

Ernesto Magana drew 2 walks for Illinois. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Manuel Cortéz. It was his 58th walk of the season.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Ramos.
