The Maryland Admirals rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Harris Bergin to a win, beating the New Jersey Bears, 6-2, at Admirals Yard. The last-place Admirals are now 39-46, the Bears 44-40.

John Cramer had a big 2-run home run for the Admirals in the bottom of the second inning. With Maryland leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Stanley Weber, who finished 4th in the FFL in ERA with 2.13 in 2096, and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Admirals on top, 3-0.

"Harris is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Maryland manager Andrew Cole.
