The Louisiana Blaze sent the home crowd home ecstatic.

The Louisiana Blaze faced a tenacious opponent in Alabama pitcher Gregory Walker, but still scratched out a win at Pelican Park by a final score of 5-4 in 13 innings. Walker went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The win elevated the Blaze to 49-39.

The Blaze got a clutch hit from catcher Ricardo Moya. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blaze.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Louisiana manager Ben Jemmerson.
