6-3 Loss Extends Chicago Skid
|
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs, 6-3, in National League action at Wrigley Field. Milwaukee pitcher Jagger Haynes had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Haynes, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Chicago has now lost 9 straight.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nick Robbins? The Milwaukee center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Brewers on top, 3-0. For the game, Robbins had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Haynes.
