National League Metropolitan Division Champions Crowned
Tuesday, October 1st , 2030
The New York Mets didn't win the National League Metropolitan Division by a wide margin, but the team still has an air of poise and confidence.
"We think we've clearly shown we're the best team in the division and now we want to show we're the best team in the whole league," said starting pitcher Juan Cantu. "Everyone in this clubhouse believes in what we can do when we play our best baseball."
It remains to be seen if we will see the best of Mets baseball in the postseason, but for now the team can enjoy the franchise's 8th division crown.
The team's manager said although his team was celebrating the division title late into the night, he wouldn't be partaking in the festivities.
"I'll still be up early getting us ready to win, division championship or not," he said. "It's off to bed for me."
