Brewers Suffer 4-2 Loss to St. Louis
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 24-year old second baseman Jordan Islas, the St. Louis Cardinals stopped the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-2. Mike Gasperino earned the save for St. Louis, his 35th of the year. The victory gives St. Louis a record of 84-77.
Tied up with the Brewers in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Cardinals got a boost from center fielder Rogelio Ramirez. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Ramirez saw a 1-0 slider from Kevin Lush and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put St. Louis on top, 3-2.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Ramirez.
