Mariners Top Giants, 5-4
|
The performance of Jarred Kelenic proved critical in helping Seattle beat San Francisco, 5-4. The Mariners right fielder hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, Seattle upped its record to 29-23.
Kelenic had a game-changing home run in the top of the 15th. On a full count fastball from Ismael Mota, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Mariners a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Kelenic.
"We squandered some opportunities," said San Francisco manager .
