Brewers Curb Rockies, 6-1
|
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at American Family Field, knocking off the Colorado Rockies, 6-1. Starting pitcher Joey Cantillo was a big reason why. Cantillo, now 3-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. With the win over Colorado, the Brewers improved to 24-28.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kevin Haskin. For the game, Haskin went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Milwaukee a 4-1 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Milwaukee manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
