Johnston Now 3-7 After Subduing Yankees
|
Starting pitcher Tim Johnston had a solid game. He was a big reason the Houston Astros throttled the New York Yankees, 2-0. Picking up the save was Mike Cendejas, his 11th. The third-place Astros improved to 33-33.
Johnston allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings for the Astros. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
"I liked his command," said Houston manager . "Tim was throwing strikes."
