Rockies Edge Past Royals, 3-2
|
Getting an impressive start from Justin Slaten, Colorado beat Kansas City by the score of 3-2. With the win, Colorado raised its record to 37-31.
Ernie Trent was the walk-off hero for Colorado. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rockies third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
Kansas City manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
