Yankees Win Nail-Biter
|
New York rode a fine outing from starter Pete Willis to victory over the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium. The final score was 3-2. The winner was New York reliever Jeremiah Trice, now 2-1. The loser was Eden Field. The Yankees go to 31-45 with the win.
The Yankees procured the win, in large part because of third baseman Ha-seong Kim. In the bottom of the 16th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Kim said.
