Romary Lays Hammer Down in 3-0 Win
|
The Washington Nationals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-0, in American League action at Rogers Centre. Washington pitcher Phil Romary had a standout performance. Earning his 20th save of the year was Josh Bonk. The Nationals saw their win-loss record go to 46-35. At the same time, the Blue Jays fell to 37-45.
Romary gave Washington a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Romary.
