Giants Suffer 2-0 Loss to Cardinals
|
St. Louis starter Edwin Nunez put a stranglehold on the San Francisco offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Cardinals to a 2-0 win. Izzy Rocha recorded the save for St. Louis, his 2nd of the season. St. Louis is now 40-45.
Nolan Arenado put St. Louis in front, 2-0, when he took Edwin Castillo downtown. His solo home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 10th home run of the season.
Nunez called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
