Cardinals Deal Pioneers 8-3 Setback
|
St. Louis pitcher Jordan Wells did his part in helping his team beat the New Jersey Pioneers, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Wells went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. St. Louis, at 42-45, sits in first place in the National League Central Division.
