Reds Upend Marlins, 1-0
|
Cincinnati picked up a win at loanDepot Park, bumping off the Miami Marlins, 1-0. Pitcher Victor Mucino was a major reason the Reds emerged victorious. Joe Boyle notched his 9th save in 9 chances. With the win, Cincinnati upped its record to 46-44.
Kyle Stowers, the 32-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stowers contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Cincinnati up, 1-0.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Austin Hicks.
