Dominant Performance by Farrell in Washington Win
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies.
The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, taking down the Philadelphia Phillies, 1-0. Starting pitcher Alan Farrell was a big reason why. Josh Bonk converted his 26th save in 33 tries.
The Phillies had trouble solving Farrell, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Farrell told the Washington News.
Washington now has a record of 55-52 with the win.
