Brewers Nip Rangers, 3-2
|
Milwaukee Brewers starter Joey Cantillo turned in an exceptional performance against the Texas Rangers at American Family Field, resulting in a Milwaukee win, 3-2. Devin Williams picked up the save for Milwaukee, his 22nd of the year. The Brewers now have a mark of 45-65.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Jake Brown came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Texas pitcher Ben Tornetta, he hit a 1-0 knuckle curve for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Milwaukee on top, 3-2.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Brown said (again).
