Reds Collect 8-2 Win Versus Chicago
|
The Cincinnati Reds stopped the Chicago White Sox, 8-2, at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Reds got a big game from D.J. White, who went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3. Jeremy Beasley earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-4. Rob Pinkard earned the save for Cincinnati, his 3rd.
White had an important at-bat with a runner on 3rd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Reds went on to win.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" White told the Cincinnati Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
Cincinnati has a 3-game win streak, while Chicago has lost 3 in a row.
