Guardians Drop 4-1 Decision to Marlins
|
The Miami Marlins got a stellar performance from pitcher Pat Lollis, who handcuffed the Cleveland offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Progressive Field. Lollis, now 12-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Guardians, at 52-62, have lost 4 straight games.
Mike Miller had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the seventh for Miami. He came through with a 2-run single to put Miami in front, 4-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said Miller after the game.
