Aldridge Lifts Rockies to 10-8 Win
Colorado second baseman Josh Aldridge contributed to his team's 10-8 win over the Boston Red Sox. Aldridge, who is tied for 6th in the AL in RBI with 70, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rockies. Amai Schwartz earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 6-1. Mike Smeaton earned his 16th save in 24 chances.

With Colorado trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth, Aldridge hit a slider from Josh Henderson for a grand slam home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Rockies ahead, 9-6.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Aldridge, "and then get after it again."

Colorado now sits at 71-57, while Boston falls to 64-65.
