Streaking Mariners Win Another One, 5-3
|
Seattle starter Jeff Russell pitched well against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Russell got the win, improving to 10-10. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Russell allowed no runs. Earning his 28th save for Seattle was Josh Dunaway.
In the top of the first, Chris Knight hit a 2-run home run. The 20th home run of the season for the Seattle first baseman put the Mariners on top, 2-0.
