Cardinals Score Late to Upend Marlins, 7-5
|
In the 7-5 St. Louis win over Miami, the impact of Dylan Carlson was substantial. Carlson, who finished 4th in the NL in triples with 7 in 2027, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. St. Louis leads the National League Central Division by 9 games.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with St. Louis trailing 5-3, Carlson hit a slider from Jose Marquez for a grand slam home run, giving the Cardinals the walk-off win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Carlson said.
