Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Twins
|
Milwaukee got a big-time effort from pitcher Jagger Haynes, but it wasn't enough to keep the Minnesota Twins from winning the game, 2-1. Haynes threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Minnesota pitcher Mike Dolan got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Steve Kelly got the loss. Today's win puts Minnesota at 63-84, while Milwaukee falls to 58-89.
The Twins relied on second baseman Josh Wood for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 16th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"This joint was rocking," said Wood.
