Palmer Slugs Royals to 10-2 Win
|
The Kansas City Royals beat the Texas Rangers by a score of 10-2. Kansas City left fielder Jimmy Palmer deserved the lion's share of the credit. Palmer hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3 for the Royals. Dylan Baker snagged the win in relief. In 5.1 innings, the right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits. He's now 3-0 on the season. Texas, now 3-12, continues its dreadful start.
Kansas City used a well-timed hit by Steve Driggers to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I felt good up there," said Palmer. "I saw the ball well."
