Yankees Trip Orioles, 5-4, in Extra Innings
Fans who congregated at Oriole Park at Camden Yards were treated to extra-inning drama.

New York Yankees starter Emerson Hancock pitched a strong game against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, leading the Yankees to victory, 5-4. The winner in relief was Doug Scheer. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.

New York used a timely hit from Eric Bair to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Emerson is tough when he's hitting his spots," said New York manager Grabstir Smith.

The Yankees sport a record of 62-92.
